- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆2017-11-04, by Big Al. DriftwoodVisited on a Sunday recently for a family birthday . We looked at the pub on the internet and with all the good reviews decided to book for lunch. We had 3 choices which were beef lamb or nutroast. If you order the meats then steak knives will be needed as both meats were so tough and unchewable and undercooked. One small spoonfull of mashed potato and two roast potatoes that couldn't be cut were joined by raw cauliflower cheese. Camra pub of the year definitely for the beer.
